Though they claim the Explorer can charge from 10% to 80% in 25 minutes, Ford has not yet revealed the complete charging specs for the car itself. From what I know, the exterior is futuristic and the interior is modern using premium materials. Has sporty seats. And features a soundbar more in line with concepts than family cars. Plus, it can quickly charge from 10% to 80% in just 25 minutes. Does anyone have ideas of the specs? Kinda curious.

The charging speed is decent. The 79kWh Extended Range AWD model can charge to 80% in 26 minutes (you were close), using a 185kW fast charger.

The 77kWh Standard Ranger RWD model takes more. Like around 28 minutes.

At home, it might differ... but with a 7kW wall box, it takes around 12 hours.

thanks for clearing that up! I was close, but yeah, 26 minutes on a 185kW fast charger sounds pretty solid for the AWD model. The Standard Range taking a bit longer makes sense, and 28 minutes still isn’t bad.

I hadn’t thought much about the home charging setup, though. Twelve hours with a 7kW wall box seems like a decent overnight charge, but I wonder how much difference it makes if you upgrade to a higher-powered charger at home. Have you come across any info on that?Appreciate the details, by the way—it’s good to know what to expect! 😅

Neah! Nothing from them. You know that manufacturers are pretty quiet before any release, at least on information like this.
