Our family just took the new Ford Explorer EV for a spin. We drove the Artic Blue Premium model.

Overall, we thought it was a decent car. It's spacious and has a good-sized rear boot. The interior is nice, but it definitely doesn't feel as luxurious as the RZ 450e. The range is impressive at over 370 miles on the 77kWh battery, and it's pretty quick too, going from 0-60 in 6.4 seconds.

I personally was a bit disappointed to find out that there's no front boot or FRUNK on this model. Has anyone else test-driven the Explorer EV?

It sounds like a solid family vehicle, especially with its spacious interior and impressive 370+ mile range on the 77kWh battery. The 0-60 in 6.4 seconds is definitely a nice perk, too! I totally get the disappointment about the lack of a front trunk (FRUNK), especially when other EVs offer that extra storage space. It’s also interesting that while it’s spacious, it doesn’t feel as luxurious as the RZ 450e. For those who’ve also driven the Explorer EV, how did you find its overall performance and ride comfort? Does the lack of a FRUNK impact its practicality for you? And how does it compare in terms of value against other electric SUVs?

@WindAmier15 Yes, the lack of a FRUNK is definitely a bit of a letdown, especially when a lot of competitors are offering that extra storage space. And I don't know why they are not adding it. What do you think would be the reason?

The Explorer EV offers great range and performance but lacks that extra storage. I’ve heard others mention missing the frunk too!
